American contradiction

  • Medical marijuana dispensaries pop up like mushrooms, the demand for medical marihuana descriptions is increasing, but the police keeps conducting raids and the state keeps collecting taxes from medical dispensaries.

Now it turns out that the National Cancer Institute, a branch of the federal National Institute of Health, praises the use of marijuana in the fight against cancer tumors... but not for long. In March, NCI has added a new section to its website, alternative medicine. In this section, the potential benefit of using cannabis is explained. However, it appears that "someone" has already made a statement, since the speech has been slightly modified. Although, the underlying message remains the same: the potential use of marijuana benefits cancer patients. In recent years, the use of medical marijuana has become a delicate issue for politicians. Obama, during his campaign, promised an end to raids, but the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) is still conducting raids in California and the latest in Montana. Besides the contradictions between federal and state laws, there are now contradictions within the Department of Health and Human Services. The DHHS oversees the NCI and other agencies that do not recognize the medicinal use of marijuana. You'll see how this contradiction does not last long. Medical marihuana industry officials project that the legal medical cannabis market will reach $1.7 billion in 2011.
