Velvet Octane grows quickly during the early stages of the vegetative period, which makes her nutritional demands higher than those of other OG Kush strains, although her nitrogen needs are only moderate. She develops strong lateral branching in preparation for an explosive blooming full of bulky, heavy buds. The early stages of flowering will require thinning of the canopy to allow for better light penetration.
Velvet Octane responds really well in SOG cultivation when flowering is induced two weeks after germination. Her dimensions will depend on factors such as pot size and veg time, but 6-9 plants are acceptable per square metre indoors. As she's a large plant that produces heavy yields, trellising is required both indoors and outdoors to assist in later stages of development.
Velvet Octane's rich terpene profile is dominated by beta-myrcene and beta-caryophyllene, which are expressed through a sharp and spicy Diesel scent accompanied by touches of black pepper and lemon citrus. She delivers a cerebral, potent and long-lasting Indica high; a great option to relax at the end of the day.
