- The name says it all: Shark Attack, the onslaught of the king of the sea.
- With a clash of jaws and a high THC content inherited from White Widow, this cannabis strain is perfect for those who want to relax and cut themselves off from the physical and mental problems of everyday life.
- But beyond her highly therapeutic effect, this is a fully satisfying strain that performs optimally in small indoor spaces as well as outdoors.
- Find out all about her potentialities below.
In their aim of coming up with the best Indica-dominant cannabis strain, Dinafem's team of breeders decided to fuse the benefits of the amazing Super Skunk with the features that gave White Widow notoriety. The result is Shark Attack, a deeply relaxing cannabis plant that soothes the stress of daily life and gives relief from those ailments that are difficult to get rid of.
In fact, her high CBD content, which makes her perfect for therapeutic use, is complemented by a high THC level that acts together with the rest of the cannabinoids, a feature she has inherited from her predecessor White Widow and that gives her a potent effect that relaxes the body and mind.
Another highlight is her resin production capacity. If you decide to give her a try, you won't have to wait too long before she develops plenty of buds covered in orange pistils and trichomes, forming a beautiful white layer that spreads over the closest leaves. This, together with her high CBD level, makes her a most appealing option for extractions and for making homemade hash.
And it doesn't end here...
This hardy and resistant medium-sized plant with wide leaves and short internodal spacing is also very fast - indoors, she is ready to harvest in just 55 days of flowering - a feature that is regarded as one of her main advantages over other strains.
And if you decide to grow her outdoors, her Skunk parentage will become particularly apparent, resulting in fewer leaves and thus in easier trimming. Her stems will also become thicker and stronger, preventing the plant from bending to the weight of the flowers, which is no mean feat considering her high yields: outdoors, you can expect her to produce up to nearly 1 kg of bud per plant.
Beware humidity
Despite her extremely easy-growing nature, there are a few things to consider if you don't want to see the slightest decline in yields. In that regard, you should feed her with standard amounts of fertilizer and, above all, watch out for humidity at the end of flowering.
Certain environmental conditions may lead to the growth of fungi, an unwelcomed guest that turns up unannounced. Ideally, you should harvest her in early/mid-October when grown outdoors, and if there are heavy rains before you can proceed, you will have to watch out for mould. Other recommendations include washing the roots prior to harvesting in order to ensure the buds taste and smell well, and keeping the plant in total darkness for five days after harvest so as to enhance the flavour and the resin production.
The effect: a physical and cerebral bite
Shark Attack produces top-notch cannabis characterized by a very potent effect, which she owes to the high THC content she has inherited from White Widow. The result is a strong cerebral high that knocks you out completely as it hits the body too. Just like hashish, she is ideal for when you need to relax and unwind.
That said, this seed by Dinafem contains also a high CBD level, making her perfect for therapeutic use. If insomnia makes its appearance at night or if you start to feel muscle pain, you can always fall back on Shark Attack's powerful 'bite' to get a good night's sleep and leave your worries behind.
