- Dozens of attendees participated in different therapeutic categories to present therapeutic strains, concentrates, cannabis edibles, and heady glass. This is a distinguished event offering limited slots and drawing the industry's leading players.
Canada and the country's marijuana lovers just enjoyed an unforgettable experience that will linger in the memories of many. The recent 'Karma Cup' marks the biggest marijuana event in the country's history, attracting the unprecedented figure 100 participants.
This event, sponsored by Dinafem and held from 16-18 October in Toronto, features several categories containing the best strains of medical cannabis, concentrates, cannabis dibbles, and heady glass creations. Only the industry elite were able to participate in this prestigious competition, where slots are limited in order to ensure an intimate atmosphere.
With regards to the therapeutic herb, 15 strains competed in the Indica category, 12 in the Sativa, and 19 in the Hybrids one. In Concentrates, 7 have done so in the Budder category, 5 in the Solventless, and 15 in the Shatter. Also competing were 18 cannabis-containing foods, 9 topical products, and 17 glass figures.
The judges had 14 days to assess the entries. Among the winners was a BC Rockstar in the Indica category, a True OG Organic in the Sativa, and an Original Amnesia taking fifth place in the Sativa.
Most importantly, those backing the project go to great pains to conceal who is behind the products until the winner is determined. The organisers stated that what really stood out was not only the number of attendees, but also this year's quality, which they called "exceptional" and "surprising."
They also clarified that the aim of the event is to recognise those industry leaders who are setting standards and paving the paths followed by the rest of the community. Given the success they have enjoyed since last year, they are working on a platform to place competitors and sponsors in contact so that each product is thoroughly known.
