Welcome to the Major Hemp Celebration: Cultiva Hemp Expo 2014

The botanical garden located under the enormous cupola of Vienna's Eventhotel Pyramide will house the seventh edition of the "Cultiva Hemp Expo." This incomparable venue will accommodate over 130 stands exhibiting the latest trends in cannabis cultivation, along with numerous experts from the world of marijuana, and thousand of aficionados from all over the world. 

From Irún, Spain, where last September Expogrow 2014 was held, we will pack our bags and travel the more than 1,900 km that separate the Guipuzcoan municipality from the Austrian capital, to converse and learn from marijuana and hemp in their diverse manifestations. This event will address practical and innovative questions, featuring not only everything related to the growing of this plant, but also new entertainment products associated with the world of cannabis. All this in addition to numerous talks and culinary surprises to delight those on hand, like the "Cultivate Cookshow," which will spotlight hemp seeds and oil for their high concentrations of non-saturated fatty acids (Omega 3 and 6) and essential amino acids. 

The fair will feature several important events: exhibitors from multiple parts of the world, talks by experts, and celebrations at the end of the day. Those who wish to attend the three-day event may obtain tickets, with prices ranging from 24 to 30 euros. Those who only wish to attend just one day of the fair may do so for 12 to 15 euros.

The hemp market is currently booming all over the globe, mainly thanks to this plant's enormous ecological potential, which represents an important asset in the worldwide fight against climate change. This year there will also be a forum for business contacts, and free entrance for young entrepreneurs, in order to provide a platform capable of generating networks between all the actors in this industry.

Last year Nicolas Meyer wowed attendees with a bicycle whose parts were made of hemp. This year there will also be textiles, cosmetics, and drums made from hemp… but also foods, healthy hemp oil, and even some new sunglasses made out of hemp, illustrating the fair's commitment to health. 

On this occasion there will also be a wide range of internationally renowned speakers and expert teachers from the cannabis world, who will energize discussions with attendees, sharing their knowledge with them during the numerous talks that will take place as part of the festival.

Particular focus will be placed on the use of hemp as a raw material, medicine, and food in the "Cultiva Congress" section. Figures attending will include Mathias Broeckers, Ed Rosenthal, Marc Emery, and Donisha Prendergast, who will head up the talk on the "Rasta University," and Friedrich Pinteritsch, who once again will be in charge of the "CultivaCookShow".

The event will also feature relaxing music by DJs who will fill the floor with tunes to make the cannabis summit unique and highly enjoyable. Nights will offer a time for pause and reflection on what has been learned, and the sharing of experiences. All this will turn the fair into a veritable party, covering over 4,000 m2 and bounded by 90,000 m2 of lush nature – something which Dinafem, of course, is not going to miss out on.
