Cannabis “Forest” Found in London

150 cannabis plants, some more than 5ft (1.5m) tall. This is what the police found in Kingston, a residential area of London, after receiving a call warning of a small plantation of marijuana in an uninhabited area.

The culture was located in an uninhabited place southwest of London, close to a student residence. When they reached the place, they saw that the plantation was larger than expected: the area occupied by the plants was the size of a football pitch.

Police have decided to report the story with humor through social networks sharing photographs of the plantation accompanied by the 'hashtag' #TheseAren'tXmasTrees. Sarah Henderson, one of the agents said "it looked like a small forest of Christmas trees and was complete with a gazebo".

For now, officials are looking for those responsible for planting, but no arrests have been made yet. They do not rule out the possibility that the students living in the dorm nearby may be behind the plantation. Henderson also stressed that growers had to take a 20 minute walk across the moor to reach this area.

Of course, the innocent plants will not be allowed to continue living. Agents argue that those responsible have invested their time and gardening skills for nothing, as they will be removing the impressive crop very soon.
