We were willing to work very hard in order to provide them with a solution and so we decided to create our own autoflowering strains combining their advantages with the excellent genetics we already had. That’s how, in 2009, our first autoflowering marijuana seed was born: Roadrunner Automatic.

Autoflowering cannabis seeds are referred to with different names: autoflowering, automatic, auto, etc. In either case, the important thing is that it is a cannabis type whose genetics, known as Ruderalis, comes from areas with extreme weather conditions such as the south of Siberia, the north of Kazakhstan or Russia. The main feature of this genetics is its extremely fast flowering speed. The flowering does not rely on the photoperiod, that is, on the day/night light changes of the season; it occurs naturally regardless of where the plant is grown. Autoflowering seeds produce plants that flower once they reach maturity and are not affected by external conditions. This tends to coincide with the development of the seventh node, after a growing period of about 3-5 weeks.

Autoflowering cannabis seeds are true survivors. They develop fast and are very easy to grow, without asking for extraordinary things. Why? Because, having originated in harsh environments, they became strong and hardy, and started to flower at the speed of light, out of the fear of dying.

These cannabis plants are small-sized, between 30 and 80 cm, which makes them perfect for small spaces, both indoors and outdoors, and can be grown in a discreet way as they tend to go unnoticed. They also make a great choice for novice cannabis growers because, due to their short life cycle, ranging from 60 to 90 days from germination, they’re rarely affected by moisture, fungi, pests or diseases. Indoors they require intense light: 20 hours of light x 4 hours of darkness throughout their whole life cycle.
